Therefore, the US Congress stipulated the Dodd-Frank Act in 2011 and formulated a law regarding conflict minerals in Section 1502, requiring a declaration of the use of any conflict minerals (3TG), including gold (Au), tantalum (Ta), tin (Sn), and tungsten (W), in products or manufacturing processes, to disclose whether any conflict mineral produced from DRC or adjoining countries are used.

ADATA is responsible in carrying out sustainable management, and voluntarily performs greenhouse gas (GHG) investigations for environmental protection. Calculations from independent investigations show that: The majority of GHG emitted by the Company are indirect emissions (98.70%), which consists of 97.84% purchased electricity, 0.86% natural gas, and 1.30% of residual GHG from direct emissions generated through the use and production of company vehicles. The calculated results are obtained through the IPCC and USEPA methods. The time period reflected by the data is between Jan 1 to Dec 31, 2016. The data is applicable to all plant sites reported here.

To effectively control waste materials and achieve resource sustainability, total waste volume must be prioritized in waste control strategies before implementing resource recycling and final waste disposal. All consistent control operations are managed by dedicated personnel. Moreover, qualified waste cleanup and disposal contractors are strictly selected and audited from time to time to ensure all contracted waste disposals are legitimately and properly handled.
